The Manager of the B & A

Dan Oakley becomes a railroad manager and his attempt to slash expenses by layoffs and lengthening hours incurs the workers' wrath. With the help of Griffith Ryder, labor leader and newspaper editor, they call a strike. The water main which supplies the railroad yards is cut, and a hot engine starts a fire. With water unavailable, the fire spreads to town, but through his superhuman efforts, Oakley gets it under control. His heroic moves win favor with the workers, and the strike is history.

The Engineer's Peril

Helen, the operator at Hobart, warns her friend Anna, the operator at Montville, that Tim Hudson, a notorious swindler, is headed for Montville. Anna later brings about Hudson's arrest when the man, posing as a minister, attempts to swindle the people of the town.

The Leap from the Water Tower

Rand, a vengeful discharged fireman, tampers with the airbrakes of a large freight locomotive making them useless on the long descent from the summit of Pine Hill to Lone Point the following day. Learning of the impending peril, Helen dashes to a water tower under which the train must pass, climbs out on the spout, leaps onto the roof of one of the cars, and warns the engineer in time. Helen's heroism wins her another offer of marriage, this time from Wadsworth, the freight engineer, but once again she opts for next weeks hazards instead.

The Oklahoma Sheriff

Sheriff has a crooked deputy, also objects to his daughter's boyfriend. Crooked deputy kills the sheriff in a robbery. Boyfriend saves the dough, captures the murderer, and gets the girl.

The Hunted Men

Spitzer wants the Gordon ranch, so he has his men waylay and rob him as he returns with money. Dick finding the body also finds a blood soaked money wrapper, a clue that will help him find the culprits.

Breezy Bill

A young rancher falsely accused of kidnapping his own stepfather, the aptly named Henry Pennypincher.

The Man from Nowhere

A tramp cowboy butts in on a western family fray where a step-brother is trying to wrestle an estate away from a sick man and falls for the blonde niece. Everything ends okay after one killing.

Western Honor

Bob Steele is a young rancher who refuses to give in to a gang that is seeking to deprive he and his partner of the contract for supplying cattle to a railroad construction camp. And the gang-leader also has his eye on Bob's sweetheart, Ione Reed.

Manhattan Cowboy

When easterner Jack Steel gets into trouble with the law again, his father sends him to his ranch out west. There he and Alice Duncan become attracted to each other. Cowhand Slim was planning to marry Alice and now kidnaps her. When Slim's girl friend learns of Slim's interest in Alice, she tells Jack where Alice is and he heads out alone to face the three kidnapers.

Near the Rainbow's End

Despite past friendliness, cattle ranchers Tom and Jim Bledsoe, father and son, fence off their range to prevent its use by neighboring sheep ranchers Tug Wilson and Buck Rankin, suggesting that they hope to end their recent loss of cattle. Rankin (not Rankins) shoots Tug, who is unaware of Rankin's lawless activities, in an argument and Jim is accused of murder and also stampeding the sheep. Believing Jim is guilty, Tug's daughter, Ruth, aids Buck in capturing Jim, but he escapes. Ruth gets help from Sheriff Hank Bosley, and a sheepherder, ...

Cowboy Jack Horton searches for the killer of his father and brother, both of whom were found with an ace of clubs pinned to their bodies.

The Invaders

Two children--a brother and sister--are the only survivors of an Indian attack on a wagon train, and are soon separated. An army officer adopts the boy, and the girl is taken to live with Indians and renamed Black Fawn. When the boy grows up he joins the cavalry and finds himself in the middle of an Indian war as he searches for his long-lost sister.

A Texas Cowboy

Dick Carlysle returns home to find that his mother has married Brute Kettle who is really out to get the Carlysle ranch. First Kettle gets Bennett to forge a letter saying Dick relinquishes his inheritance in the ranch and then he tries to get Dick's mother to relinquish hers.

Kaintucky Bill

The old sheriff dies. In jest, the mountaineers nominate Kaintucky Bill, the worst moonshiner in the state, for the office. Considering it a huge joke, Kaintucky Bill takes the oath of office.

The Lost Mail Sack

A piece of lumber projecting from the side of a freight car picks up the mail sack hanging from the crane at Bell Station. Two hobos find the sack and rifle the contents. Morrison, postmaster at Bell, has been systematically robbing the mails and benefits by the mail sack's disappearance. Mary Gates, daughter of an engineer, supplies the Post Office inspectors with the first clue. The detectives blunder, however, and arrest Billy, Mary's sweetheart. Chance leads them on the trail of the tramps. The hobos are arrested after a desperate battle...

Outwitted

After being captured by T-Man Jack Blaisdell and sentenced to 20 years of hard labor on a counterfeiting rap, Tiger McGuire is sprung from jail by his old gang. Vowing to get even with Jack, Tiger kidnaps the young man's fiancée, Helen (Holmes), bringing the girl to his hideout, a fancy yacht owned by Lucy Carlisle.
