A wild playboy is framed by crooks for a robbery he didn't commit and eventually lands in prison. There he becomes pals with the prison's most hardened criminal, who plans a daring escape.

Sierra Sue

To fight a poisonous weed, ranchers are burning their land. Gene is the Inspector brought in and he recommends spraying. The spraying goes well until the Larabee ranch is reached. When Larrabee refuses to allow the equipment on his land, Gene has it sprayed by airplane. Cattle must stay off recently sprayed land and when a Larrabee man shoots down the plane, the crash sends the cattle stampeding toward the newly sprayed land.

A "Pete Smith Specialty" - a fairly serious look at radio hams in the usual jokey format. Shows aircraft using morse code.

The Prairie King

Andy Barden, Edna Jordan, and Dan Murdock are the three claimants to the valuable mine of the late Abner Ferrige. Edna takes possession but Murdock gets her to leave and while the three are away his men take possession. But when the Lawyer arrives to announce that Ferrige never filed, everyone rushes off to be the first at the claims office.

Below the Deadline

After a good-natured Irish cop is framed for a diamond robbery and murder and presumed dead in a train wreck, he gets plastic surgery and returns to expose the real killers.

A young orphan girl wants a small-time gambler to be her father.
