The Quest

Eight years ago, Cheyenne Indians attacked the Baudine Family wagon and captured Morgan (Kurt Russell), whom they renamed Two Persons. Now Two Persons, raised in the ways of the Indians, has been reunited with his brother Quentin (Tim Matheson), a doctor and a stranger to frontier ways. Together the brothers set out in search of their sister Patricia, who was also captured and who Two Persons believes is still alive.

Dad... Can I Borrow the Car?

A live-action short, using many avant-garde film techniques, that looks at American car culture in the late 1960s. The main section deals with the many trials and obstacles a teenager must face on the path to being able to drive. Surviving the driver's education class is only the first step, as the teenager must then pass his driving test, and then finally get permission to borrow the family car.

Pericles on 31st Street

Racial tensions break out on 31st Street, a multi-ethnic community. Sam Peckinpah directed this original adaptation of the Harry Mark Petrakis novel for NBC, and the project became an hour-long presentation for NBC's The Dick Powell Theatre, premiering on Apr. 12, 1962.
