A Sense of Nothing

A film motivated by nothing (but daily life and (my) vision). It represents nothing, it signifies nothing. There’s no hidden meaning, no defined subject, no predetermined objective. Inside and outside. Just angles, textures and flashes of color. A whole different empire of vision, impossible to be put into words. “Nothing” as anything outside common visual knowledge, anything that defies the logic of naming the world; a possibility for a new way of thinking; of dealing with our visual world.

Perdurare

A meditation on time and its effect on memory. About the rocks the sea tries to drag away from the shore, towards the ocean, with every wave.

brushstrokes

An afternoon in the woods. Every camera movement a stroke of a brush. An impossible painting. Never completing itself, always starting anew.

A Heap of Broken Images

Sunday afternoon. Images of last summer. A view of the sunset from a hill. Some flashes.

An Atom on Creation's Throne

Images of concrete and stone. A cemetery. Light making its way through the tree leaves.

Sea of Glass

The creation of an infinite space. Light modulations over water surfaces, conjugating into multiple alterations. Time and light being reshaped through a liquid lens. The illusion of a starry night turns into a sea “roofed over by rainbows.”

Partially Obscured

A film about creation itself, a rite of the sun and the surfaces illuminated by it. Light capturing and light summoning "in a primitive attempt to catch the sun with my hands".

Shapeless Variations

A condensation of a handful of sunsets with various visual moods. Red and blue as opposites that still find a way to cohere. Concrete silhouettes over an ever-changing, expanding canvas. Every movement is collective, molecular. With an invisible horizon, a chance presents itself to meditate on the “speed” of water and the sea and also for a more fluid kind of editing.
