In this farcical dark comedy/melodrama, Lena manages to lose her place at college by virtue of throwing a minor hissy-fit when she catches her erstwhile boyfriend in bed with another girl. The musical follows events taking place at the Moscow International Film Festival, at the beginning of Perestroika. The plot focuses on Nikolay Vasiliev one of the many Interpreters hired to work at the festival by the imposing Margo Altshuller (who is in charge of all the interpreters).
