After breaking into the house and retrieving a camera to read the sim card, on return, Tom emerges from the woods, where he has been living in a tent since being dragged down the stairs and thru the basement at the end of the first episode.

At first, he thought people were breaking in, but he soon realized he was dealing with something Paranormal.
