Coddled by his maiden aunts and apparently unable to make decisions, Oliver Wendell Blaine signs up for a mail-order course in "Success." Oliver follows the instructions step by step, builds his self-confidence, and proves himself a hero when a log jam threatens the town. He is made river boss and marries Phyllis Thorpe, daughter of the owner of the lumber-mill.

Auditions for Her Nightmare

On August 5, 2023, auditions were held for the independent produced horror film entitled “Her Nightmare” — the story of a young couple who come to realize that their dream house is haunted. Alas, the film was never produced. Casting director Roger Ehren invited several actors to audition for the roles, and made a conscious decision to have the actors read all of the key narrative scenes in the screenplay. This allows for a reconstruction of the film, suggesting what it might have been.

When architect Lee Ellis is discharged from his position in a large firm and has difficulty in finding a new job his devoted wife Mary invests in a business for him with a small legacy she had received. Soon they become prosperous allowing son Jerry to get his longed-for car, and daughter Betty to attend private school. Jerry goes a little jazz mad and rebels against his mother's influence. He decides to elope with gold-digging flapper Edna Larkin. Mary, learning of the plan, chases and saves Jerry when his train is wrecked though he sustain...
