Three Days and a Life

Christmas 1999, in a peaceful little village in the Ardennes. The life of a young boy named Antoine will soon be devastated by three tragic events : the death of a dog, the vanishing of a child, and a big ravaging storm.

In 2016 the sun has turned the entire world into a scorched and barren wasteland. The humans who have survived are either resourceful or violent, and sometimes both. Marie, her little sister Leonie, and best friend Phillip, are in a car headed to the mountains - rumor has it there is water there. Along the way they meet Tom, a first-rate mechanic. But can they trust him? Fraught with deep distrust, the group is lured into an ambush where their real battle for survival begins.

When Gina meets Nico, a boy from her neighborhood, she awakens to love and sees a chance to escape her father.

Fortuna, a 14-year-old Ethiopian girl, has had no news of her parents since they crossed the Mediterranean Sea. Together with other refugees, she is given shelter for the winter in a Swiss catholic monastery. While she waits for her fate to be decided by the Swiss authorities, Fortuna finds out she is pregnant. The choice she will have to make and the arrival of the refugees will give rise to concern within the religious community and will challenge their concept of Christian charity.

Mathieu is a marine biologist. He spends his time on his microscope, cutting tiny marine organisms corpses. He’s unhappy. His true wish would have been being on the sea. But an event will abruptly change his life : Christine, his mother in law, runs away. Attracted by this impulsion, and curious to understand her, Mathieu starts looking for her. He’s going to find her in a house by the sea and will share the same desire of regaining control of his life.
