The Cartier Operation

An immigrant worker from Bosnia falls in love with the actress Nastassia Kinski. To be able to approach her, he has to become famous himself. That's why he sets off on a journey to fame in a black comedy with a twist in its tale.

In Yugoslavia's Livada prison in 1970, inmates led by Keber convince reluctant authorities to let them watch the televised Olympic final basketball game between the home country and the U.S., but taunting guards interrupt the viewing and prod the prisoners to the point of a riot. After a period of a kind of blissful anarchy where the inmates taste freedom, Keber enlists the house "intellectual" Mrak to devise a system of prisoner self-government aimed at forcing reforms on the state.

The Trap

One night in a hotel room spent with unknown woman throws young man into hard nightmare, from which he wakes up only to fall asleep again and fall back to it. He dreams about escaped soldier who breaks in the mountain cottage on New Year's Eve where he meets two couples in orgy. Soldier's fear and despair grow, just like madness of drunken couples. The soldier suddenly sees his picture on the TV's monitor, and terrified realizes that he's the prosecuted one. A severe impact on the door frightens him, and he starts shooting. Skies Above the Landscape

At the top of the rugged Bosnian mountain, young shepherd Mehmed patiently watches over his cows and lovingly carves the figure of a woman in a piece of wood. Almost on cue, a novice paraglider unexpectedly falls from the sky. Deborah speaks only French and he speaks only Bosnian, but they tentatively communicate, and she accepts the hospitality offered by Mehmed's mom: a bed and a meal of "mountain-style" tripe.
