This is the story of Pablo, a young uruguayan exiled in México, whose father was disappeared during the military dictatorship.

The Wait

In Montevideo, Sonja cares for her invalid mother, works in a garment factory, and has little going for her. Her neighbor Modesto, an older man who lives alone, types anonymous letters to her. Her mother is difficult -- demanding and miserable, afraid of death. Sonja meets Ernesto, a nurseryman, and finally there may be some possibilities in her life. Does freedom beckon?

Mr. Balls

A young city couple find themselves stuck at a rural gas station after their car breaks down. An old man, disturbed by their disrespectful behavior, starts telling them a story about the importance of respect: the cautionary tale of El Cojonudo.
