In 1989, known as Mendax, Julian Assange and two friends formed a group called the International Subversives. Using early home computers and defining themselves as white hat hackers - those who look but don’t steal – they broke into some of the world’s most powerful and secretive organisations. In the eyes of the US Government, they were a major threat to national security.

Scope

Persephone Chase is a contract assassin with a difference. In a fond homage to 1970s drive-in action thrillers -- but set in modern-day Melbourne -- powerful criminals plot the downfall of a right-wing, devoutly religious political candidate... and each other.

Sleeping Beauties

Cahya gets a job as a maid working in an isolated old mansion. Pregnant and a recent widow, she is desperate to reconnect with her husband, opening a doorway to the spirit world. And in doing so, inadvertently awakens the tormented ghosts of her current employer, the previous maids.
