Megan, a 16-year-old with a hearing impairment, is on her first few days at a mainstream school, where she meets Jake and his group of friends. At first, she seems like an outsider, but Jake tries to break down the communication barrier.

The Boys' Village was once a village-style holiday camp located in West Aberthaw, on the south coast of Wales.
